*Eligible programs or projects that can be funded should focus on at least one or more of the following:
(1) Women’s Economic Empowerment;
(2) Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls;
(3) Women’s Coalitions for Change;
(4) Women’s Leadership and Decision-making; and
(5) Climate Justice and Humanitarian Action.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must:
- Work from a women’s rights and feminist perspective- Diverse women networks/groups, community women-led NGOs/CSOs that make up the feminist and women’s rights movement. Their work supports and progresses the human rights of women, girls, and gender non-conforming people in Fiji.
- Promote diverse women’s rights as your primary mission. (Consideration will be given to organisations that do not specifically focus on gender but have women-focused projects and may occasionally receive support from the Fund if they work with particularly marginalised groups: for example, women within groups of people with disabilities or women within LGBTQIA organisations).
- Be governed and led by diverse women in that diverse women must fill 70% of leadership roles throughout the various decision-making levels/roles of the organisation (including but not limited to senior decision-making roles).
Non-Registered/Emerging groups or Informal women’s groups/networks
- May apply for grant FJD 5,000-50,000
- Have been active for one year
- Registered with the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection
- Submit two letters of reference
- If not registered, provide evidence of operations via latest minutes of meetings.
Registered/Established Women led Organisations/networks
- May apply for grant FJD 60,000- 100,000
- Established and operational
- Experience in managing Grants/Donor Funding
- Registered with the Fiji Charitable Trust Act
- Submit latest audited accounts and annual report

Movement Building Grants: will open from June 2024; invitations to submit proposals sent in by 1 July 2024; proposal assessment in July; selection completed by the end of July.
Resilience Grants: open throughout the year only for current/past and existing grantee partners. We will be striving to respond to your request within 14 days of application. However, applications in languages other than English may require additional time for translation.
