Victoria Yee appointed as Executive Director

Women’s Fund Fiji (WFF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Victoria Yee as its new Executive Director, effective March 31, 2025.

Vicky, as she is widely known, has been serving as the Acting Executive Director and has played a pivotal role in guiding the Fund through its

transitionary period over the past few months. Following a rigorous recruitment process, she has now been officially appointed to lead the Fund into its next chapter.

Governance Board Chair, Ms. Patricia Naisara, expressed her confidence in Vicky’s leadership, stating, “Vicky brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to advancing the work of the Fund as we continue our mission to support and empower women’s organizations across the country.”

An accomplished development practitioner with over two decades of experience, Vicky has dedicated her career to localizing social policy and driving impactful change at the grassroots level. Vicky has contributed significantly to key organizations, including the International Labour Organization (ILO), Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation, and the University of the South Pacific (USP), where she worked on advancing social policy, gender advocacy, and governance initiatives.

Reflecting on her appointment, Ms. Yee shared, “I am deeply honored to step into this role and continue the vital work of Women’s Fund Fiji. The feminist movement in Fiji and the Pacific is strong, and I look forward to working alongside our partners, grantees, and stakeholders to ensure that we continue to align with the vision and the values of the Fund.

She further added, “This is an exciting time for the Fund, and I am committed to strengthening its impact, both internally and externally, as we move forward together.”

Women’s Fund Fiji (WFF) is the Pacific’s first national women’s fund, established in 2017 to provide sustainable funding and capacity-strengthening support to women’s groups, networks, and organizations in Fiji.
