Mafi, 45, once carried the silent weight of domestic violence and hardship. Her journey as a single mother was marked by trauma, which she kept hidden, allowing it to build into anger that spilled into her new family life. Through the Confident Woman Program at Almanah Hope Centre, Mafi found the courage to open up for the first time, shedding the burden of her past and embracing change. With renewed confidence, she now approaches life with a clear mind and a positive outlook.

Women’s Fund Fiji (WFF) remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting the human rights of persons with disabilities in Fiji, having invested over FJD $1.2 million since 2018 to support the Fiji Disabled People’s Federation (FDPF) and its affiliates. This support has empowered women and girls with disabilities, fostering their leadership and active participation in decision-making at various levels.
