The Fiji Women’s Fund launched its annual progress report in Suva today.
Speaking at the launch – Minister for Women and Children Mereseini Vuniwaqa says that the fund supports activities across each of its four thematic areas.
Vuniwaqa says these include eliminating violence against women, strengthening women’s groups and coalitions for change, empowering women through increased economic opportunities and improving women’s participation in leadership and decision making.
The Minister says the fund is extremely important given their commitment for funding and capacity development support to women’s groups, networks, and organizations in Fiji.
