Winifred Gauna

Winifred is an accomplished economist with extensive expertise in policy development, analysis, monitoring, and supervision. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of Otago in New Zealand and has completed numerous high-level training programs, including recent seminar on public administration in China.

Throughout her distinguished career, Winifred has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing complex projects and teams across both government and private sectors. Most recently, she served as Manager of Corporate Strategy & Executive Support at the Ministry of Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development, and Statistics, where she played a pivotal role in strategic planning and executive coordination. She has also held role as Programme Officer at the Pacific Islands Private Sector Organisation (PIPSO), where she supported regional business development and capacity building, and as a Policy Analyst at the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF), developing expertise in financial policy and regulatory oversight.
