Mereseini Vunisa

Mere Vunisa brings over six years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), with a strong focus on development and humanitarian programming across the Pacific region. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Epidemiology.

Her professional background includes roles with Save the Children Fiji, The Asia Foundation, and the Ministry of Health, where she led data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning initiatives. She has contributed to projects funded by DFAT, MFAT, USAID, and the Pacific American Fund, applying adaptive MEL strategies to ensure accountability and improve project outcomes, even in challenging contexts such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mere has extensive training in M&E fundamentals, project management, gender inclusion, and USAID compliance. She is known for her strategic thinking, technical expertise, and collaborative approach with project teams, sub-grantees, and partners. Her work supports the effective tracking, measurement, and communication of impact across programs.
