William Parkinson
William grew up a child of the early Fiji Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) influenced by founders Ruth Lechte, Anne Walker, Amelia Rokotuivuna and of course his mother Susan Parkinson.
He founded and is currently Chair of pioneer media organisation Communications Fiji Ltd (CFL) that owns market leading radio stations in Fiji and Papua New Guinea (PNG FM) plus related digital and event entities.
CFL has a proud history promoting Pacific women, since its launch in 1985, claiming numerous leading feminists in its alumni.
This is reflected in the makeup of the current board and management of CFL and PNG FM.
He also co-founded Leadership FIJI and is Chair of the organisation. William is a Director of Credit Corp Fiji Ltd and has a long association with Friend Fiji.
He is a graduate of the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Arts History / Development Studies) and is part of the Australian Institute of Company Directors International program.
