Gina Houng Lee

Gina Houng Lee is a feminist and gender and development consultant. A Fijian national, Gina has extensive experience in the area of human rights and women’s rights advocacy.

Ms Houng Lee has over twenty years working in development in Fiji and the Pacific.

She previously worked as a Senior Human Rights Co-ordinator at the Secretariat of the Pacific Community, Regional Rights Resource Team (SPC RRRT) and as the Co-ordinator of Fiji Women’s Rights Movement.

The former position involved advocacy and program oversight of addressing violence against women legislation in the Pacific.

Ms Houng Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts from Auckland University and a Master in Development Studies from the University of the South Pacific.

She previously served on the board of Leadership FIJI, Fiji Women’s Rights Movement and the Asia Pacific Forum for Women Law and Development and Save the Children Fund Fiji.

She loves running, hiking and enjoying anything that is close to nature. She is a former President of the Suva Marathon Club.
